A playlist of songs by important black (musical) voices selected from across time, space and genres. Artists include Miriam Makeba, Ursula Rucker, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Saul Williams, Gill Scott-Heron, Benjamin Clementine, Nina Simone and Jowee Omicil.

This selection is an attempt to expand, but also historicise the struggle for emancipation and freedom through the voice of a few black musicians.
